Folks it is October, technically the end of summer, so we are joining the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk for this month’s walk! We will be walking from the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge around to the Open Room Austin.

When: 8:00 am for walk and 11:00 am adjourn for lunch on Saturday October 5, 2019

- Start at Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge [100 S Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78703]
- Turn left onto Electric Dr
- At the traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto Sandra Muraida Way
- Head towards North Lamar Boulevard
- Turn right onto North Lamar Boulevard
- Walk until we get to Whole Foods [525 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78703]
- Keep walking north on North Lamar Boulevard
- Turn Right onto West 6th Street
- Walk until you get to GSD&M [828 W 6th St, Austin, TX 78703]
- Keep walking right on West 6th Street toward Wood Street
- Turn right onto West Avenue
- Walk until you get to Irene’s [506 West Ave, Austin, TX 78701]
- Continue south on West Avenue
- Turn Right onto West 5th Street
- Walk until Bowie Street and turn left
- Walk until you get to The Bowie [311 Bowie St, Austin, TX 78703]
- Keep Going south on Bowie Street
- Make a right on to West Avenue
- Walk until Austin Central Library [710 W Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78701]
- Keep going on West Ave toward Lance Armstrong Bikeway
- Turn right onto Lance Armstrong Bikeway
- Turn right onto Walter Seaholm Dr
- Walk until Seaholm Power [800 W Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78701]
- Head left on Electric Drive
- Walk until end of route at Open Room Austin [200 Sandra Muraida Way, Austin, TX 78701]

What: Socialize, Take photos, share photos! Walk until 11:00 am. The plan is to meet up at the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge at 8:00am and take an alternate route to walk around Downtown to allow you to get uniques photos. There will be lots to take photos of: architectural structures even possibly flowers or people, locations to explore, and lots of details.
Why: Community! We are headed to hang out around Downtown starting at Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge. Please dress layered as it may be cool and then warm up.
How: RECOMMENDED: Bring Tripod, camera, off camera flash, creativity. Socialize when you come. Share photo ideas on the walk. You can also share online in the flickr group at http://www.flickr.com/groups/photowalksatx/. If you are not a member yet, just request membership. There is also a facebook community at Photowalks ATX community that you may request membership to. Also subscribe to the email list to get the email notifications in your box for the next walk!
To fully participate please make sure to be properly hydrated, dress appropriately too, wear comfortable walking shoes, talk to someone you do not already know.

I can’t go to this one because I am going to the one at the State Capital. It is being led by a person who was a photographer for the House of Representatives at one time so perhaps he knows some “secrets” about the place.
Also, your announcement says that the walk is October 7th. The 7th is Monday. October 5th is Saturday and the information that I am getting from the folks at Kelby.
