{october 2015 photowalk announcement}

Okay folks so it looks like we are on an scheduled night photowalk streak so I am going with it. For October’s scheduled walk, let’s meet up at the Blanton Museum of Art. We will be trying to get night shots out there.

Parking location: Parking is available at the meters on the sides of the streets and nearby parking garages.
Meet location: Blanton Museum of Art, 200 East Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard, Austin, TX 78712. Meet at the corner of Congress and MLK between the art shop and the museum.
Dinner location: We can walk to the Wendy’s close to the Blanton to pick up something fast to eat OR please bring your choice of food as we can sit out by the Blanton and eat before we head out for the walk at about 6:45 pm.
When: 6:00 pm on Friday October 9, 2015
What: Socialize, Take photos, share photos! Walk until 9:00 pm. The plan is to shoot around the Blanton and head towards the capitol taking night shots.
Why: Community! We are headed to check out the Blanton Museum of Art at night. There is a lot of opportunity to capture patterns, gorgeous foliage, architecture, people, landscaping, light painting, and long exposure.
How: RECOMMENDED: Bring Tripod, camera, off camera flash, creativity. Socialize by coming. Stay and share a meal and pass cameras around to see photos. You can also share online in the flickr group at http://www.flickr.com/groups/photowalksatx/. If you are not a member yet, just request membership. There is also a google community at Photowalks ATX community that you may request membership to.

To fully participate please make sure to be properly hydrated, dress appropriately too, wear comfortable walking shoes, talk to someone you do not already know.
